Writers can draw inspiration from many different sources. Anything you are passionate about is fair game. So, what about food? You have those who review restaurants, but when it comes to poetry, the taste buds are also a valid topic of consideration. I am in love with pasta; I can'y help it, so why not write about it?

Most worthy of praise
Dressed up in Marinara
Or a rich Bolognese
Layered high with Ricotta
Or dozens more cheese--
Pillows puffed up with secrets
Hollows creamy with peas
Long and flat in Alfredo
Curing colds in a soup
Filling up your own salad--
Bow-tied grace or in loops
Cajun spiced in a gumbo
Spirals subtle or bold
Single-handed or garnished
Served up great—hot or cold!
